Palm Jumeirah
Dubai's palm-shaped artificial archipelago in Jumeirah, lined with hotels, villas and beachfront residences.
It is part of the Palm Islands, which also include Palm Jebel Ali. Built on reclaimed land from 2001, its trunk joins the mainland and a tunnel under the sea links the trunk to the outer crescent.
